PlankCoach Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using PlankCoach (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. App Description
The App uses the camera to analyze plank posture in real time and provides features such as plank timing, form judgment, balance, app blocking, custom set menus, calendar records, progress, and Pro data transfer.
Features, design, pricing, availability, and the scope of Pro features may be changed, added, suspended, or discontinued without prior notice.
2. Health Notice
The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or professional advice.
You are responsible for checking your health condition, fitness level, and surroundings before using the App. Stop exercising immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, numbness, strong fatigue, or any other abnormal symptoms.
If you have a medical condition, injury, pregnancy, exercise restriction from a doctor, or any health concern, consult a physician or qualified professional before using the App.
3. Posture Judgments and Results
The App's posture judgments, measured time, verified seconds, scores, and feedback may vary depending on device, camera position, lighting, clothing, body type, operating system, device performance, and other conditions.
We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, usefulness, or fitness for a particular purpose of App measurements or judgments.
4. Balance and App Blocking
"Balance" in the App is an in-app value representing app usage time converted from plank exercise. Balance is not money, electronic money, points, crypto assets, or anything with monetary value, and cannot be exchanged, refunded, transferred, sold, or purchased.
The app blocking feature is provided using Apple's Screen Time-related frameworks. Due to iOS specifications, permission status, user settings, device status, app installation status, operating system issues, or other restrictions, blocking, unblocking, balance consumption, carryover, notifications, or displays may not work as expected.
You are responsible for managing selected blocking targets, balance, carryover limits, hard mode, and other settings.
5. Free Features and Pro Features
The App may provide free features and paid Pro features. Pro features may include side plank, reverse plank, custom set menus, hard mode, balance carryover to the next day, data transfer, and other features.
The details of Pro features are shown in the App or on the App Store.
6. Paid Plans
The App may offer auto-renewable subscriptions and one-time in-app purchases. Purchases, billing, renewals, and cancellations are managed through Apple's App Store and your Apple ID account settings.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. They will automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel your subscription yourself from the App Store or Apple ID account settings. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel your subscription.
One-time in-app purchases are charged once at the time of purchase and do not automatically renew. The scope of features available through a one-time in-app purchase is shown in the App or on the App Store.
Refunds for paid features, one-time in-app purchases, and subscriptions purchased through the App Store are handled according to Apple's refund policy and procedures. We cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through Apple. If you would like to request a refund, please use Apple's Report a Problem page.
If a free trial or discount is offered, the terms shown on the App Store apply.
7. Data Transfer Feature
Pro users can issue a transfer code and enter it on a new device to restore supported data.
Transfer data may include daily plank totals, balance, carryover settings, custom set menus, and certain progress data. Detailed individual session history, camera footage, photos, videos, raw pose landmark data, and selected app blocking targets are not transferred.
You are responsible for managing your transfer code. If you share the transfer code with another person, that person may be able to restore the data. If you lose the transfer code and no longer have access to the old device, we cannot restore the data.
Encrypted transfer data is deleted after restoration is completed or after the retention period expires. Transfer may fail due to network conditions, server status, device status, input errors, expiration, or other reasons.
8. User Data
The App stores plank records, aggregated data, balance, custom set menus, and settings on your device. You are responsible for managing your own data.
Data may be lost due to app uninstallation, device failure, operating system issues, deletion, device migration, loss of a transfer code, or other reasons. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or inability to restore data.
9. Prohibited Acts
You must not engage in the following acts when using the App.
- Violating laws, public order, morals, or these Terms
- Interfering with the operation of the App, servers, networks, or third-party services
- Unauthorized access, reverse engineering, modification, analysis, or vulnerability probing
- Improperly bypassing or modifying subscriptions, one-time in-app purchases, billing, Pro entitlements, transfer codes, app blocking, or balance management
- Infringing the rights, privacy, reputation, or credit of others
- Using another person's transfer code or publishing your transfer code to an unspecified audience
- Using the App in dangerous environments, exercising beyond safe limits, or using the App in a way that may cause accidents
- Any other act we consider inappropriate
10. Intellectual Property
All copyrights, trademarks, know-how, programs, images, user interface, text, and other intellectual property rights related to the App belong to us or their rightful owners.
You may use the App for personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lend, or re-provide the App without our prior permission.
11. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services such as Apple, RevenueCat, and Cloudflare for purchase processing, purchase management, subscription management, purchase status verification, Screen Time integration, data transfer, rate limiting, and security protection. Each third-party service is subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
12. Disclaimer
We do not guarantee that the App will achieve your expected results, operate accurately at all times, be free from interruptions or errors, be available on all devices and environments, that app blocking will always work as intended, or that data transfer will always succeed.
You use the App at your own responsibility. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of or inability to use the App.
13. Suspension of Use
We may suspend or restrict all or part of the App without prior notice if you violate these Terms or if necessary for App operation.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may change these Terms as necessary. If we make material changes, we will notify users in the App or by other appropriate means.
If you use the App after changes take effect, you are deemed to have agreed to the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, except where mandatory laws of your place of residence apply.
